Tammy Charles

Tammy Charles is a native of New York and she graduated top of her business class in 2012 from the University of Tampa with Magna Cum Laude distinction in Business Management. She later received her MBA and Nonprofit Leadership Certificate in 2016. Currently, Tammy is the CEO and Chief Strategist at TMC Strategies where her mission is to empower, equip, and inspire business leaders, entrepreneurs, and organizations to provide high-impact solutions to the community’s most pressing issues. She desires to provide these organizations with the best opportunities to grow while growing the leaders in the process.

As a highly engaged member of the community, Charles is an active leader with multiple organizations. She is a member of Mayor’s Neighborhood University — a community leadership development program for Tampa residents. She is the Founder and Director of Women in Leadership — a ministry dedicated to empowering women to utilize their God-given gifts and skills to lead and pursue their calling. She is also the Founder and Chief Ecosystem Architect for Tampa Bay Spark, LLC. — a social enterprise focused on leveraging innovation, diversity, and social impact to spark change in Tampa Bay’s entrepreneurial economy.

Charles has received numerous awards and accolades including the 2014 President Bill Clinton’s Commitment to Action Award, 2016 Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Up and Comer Award for the Under 30 Category, 2017 New Leaders Council Fellow, and the Tampa Chamber’s 2018 Deanne Dewey Roberts Emerging Leader Award and was honored by The University of Tampa with the 2017 Young Alumnus Award for her professional accomplishments and civic engagement and most recently received the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce’s 2018 Deanne Dewey Roberts Emerging Leader Award. She was also nominated for the Creative Loafing Best Networker award.
